Message They suck ass. Not responsive at all at the throttle, almost seems like it is programmed that way. There is no hard acceleration from a stop, only a gradual increase in speed. when you let off the gas the throttle will stay open for a few more seconds and close slowly which is very annoying. I mean, when I want to slow down, I'll let off the gas. I don't want the car to try to make things more comfortable for me, it's more of a safety issue than an annoyance. The gas pedal goes all the way down with little change in speed until you reach a point where the pedal actually clicks into WOT, at which point the acceleration takes off all at once and results in a very jerky ride when I want power. Interior is very cheaply made and crappy, and they ripped off VW's air conditioned glove box idea. Just an all around crappy car and I avoid driving them as much as possible. Compared to our other compact sized car, the Hyundai Elantra, the Caliber is a piece of shit.
